Melinda Gates did her MBA from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. At the initial stages of her career, she gained the expertise and experience from senior roles at Microsoft, which was a crucial step that paved the way for other women in a male-dominated tech industry during that time. Melinda together with her husband Bill Gates started off the world’s largest private charitable foundation. Since its initiation in 2000the foundation has funded projects to the sum of $36 billion.

In an interview in 2018, Indra Nooyi commented that “Growing up in India, I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary company”.
