The KMAT (Kerala Management Aptitude Test) Kerala is a state-level entrance test to secure admission at the B-schools of Kerala. As the medical and engineering entrance exam i.e. NEET, JEE the under-graduates must pass this entrance to avail the admission for MBA. The KMAT Kerala exam is organized by the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) under the guidance of the Admission Supervisory Committee (ASC). The KMAT Kerala exam is an opportunity for the aspiring candidates who wish to pursue their post-graduation in MBA (Master of Business Administration). The exam is organized twice a year.
KMAT EXAM KERALA ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The candidates appearing for the entrance exam must follow the eligibility criteria i.e. the requirements that needed to be fulfilled for admission to MBA courses. This requirement includes the educational qualification, age limit, and minimum qualifying marks. The candidates are required mandatorily to go through the eligibility criteria to avoid any kind of discrepancies.

- Citizenship: All the candidate can apply for the exam who can be an Indian or non-Indian, but they have to be a resident of Kerala to gain the benefit of the reservation criteria.
- Educational Qualification: The candidates must have completed they’re under graduation in any stream be it art or science stream of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized university.
- Graduating candidates: The final year graduates are also eligible to apply for the exam, and they have to submit their final result of a bachelor’s degree for the admission procedure to be complete.
- Age limit: The is no specified age limit for the candidate to qualify for the exam.
- Capability: The candidate from the general category must secure 50% marks in the exam to get qualified for the KMAT Kerala Examination. For the reservation categories namely SC, ST, and OBC they must secure 40% marks in the exam for eligibility. The candidate who have appeared for other entrance exams like CAT, CMAT can also apply for the KMAT exam.
The KMAT Kerala gives confirmation to the candidates who wish to go in for their career in MBA and Post-Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM). The weightage of the whole procedure will be in the ratio of 80:10:10 respectively for the entrance exam, Group discussion, and Personal Interview.

KMAT KERALA ADMISSION PROCESS
The admission process of KMAT Kerala is carried out on the online platform. It is a three-step process. The candidates can apply for admission to different universities and colleges offering MBA/PGDM courses based on their interests and preference.

KMAT Kerala Admit Card:
The candidate who has successfully filled their application form will be issued the admit card. The admit card contains detailed information about the exam date, venue, time, etc. and all the instructions for the applicant to be followed while appearing for the exam and the required documentation to be taken to the exam are also mentioned. The admit card is a mandatory document to be taken to the exam venue and the candidate without the admit card shall not be allowed to write the exam.

KMAT Kerala Exam:
The exam is a paper-based exam with a duration of 150 minutes i.e., two and a half hours. The candidate is required to arrive at the exam center 15-minutes earlier than the time given in the admit card.

KMAT Kerala Result:
The answer key will be published the very next day after the exam and the result will be announced on the official website of KMAT Kerala along with the scorecard which includes a section-wise score and the overall score of the candidate.
KMAT KERALA EXAM PATTERN
The candidate will be able to get into a B-school based on the merit list prepared out of the score of the exam. The candidate can appear for the exam twice in a year which ensures his eligibility for admission.
The mode of examination will be pen and paper-based exam consisting of 180 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). Each of the right answers carries (+) 4 marks. There is a negative (-)1 mark for each wrong answer. And the overall score will be out of 720 marks. There will not be a sectional time limit for completing the paper and there will be a total of 150 minutes.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR KMAT KERALA

The applicants can check their results from the official website of KMAT Kerala and they can download their scorecard in PDF format. The scorecard will give detailed data about candidate score i.e. the total score, sectional score, and the overall rank of the candidate. The exam requires the candidate to score the minimum cut off points to pass the exam and get admission into any institute or universities for MBA/PGDM.
